Thinking and delving on a thought - be it good or bad - will inevitably result in more of the same. Better to ponder on the positive and good instead of the negative and bad. Thank you for the intersting article. I was led to your website after watching a GCI World update by Mr. Tkach on Fri Dec 4th 2009.

An interesting article, though I cannot see the author's name anywhere.
Perhaps the problem I see in this line of argument is that ...at a time when everything was being driven by the advances of engineering and machinery, and all the great thinkers were caught up in these ideas, theories about the human body being like a machine, and nature and the universe being simarlarly made, led to the erroneous idea that God was like a watchmaker...and now it is argued that this is not the case. To have a successful argument against an idea that was wrong in the first place doesn't really get us any nearer the truth.
Modern studies into the human being begin to see the body and it's health more like a piece of music or a work of art, and that applies also to the universe and nature. Of course Art or music can be great and beautiful without the need for predictability or order..it doesn't mean there is no composer or artist, or that everything will end in eventual destruction...I marvel at the arrogance of human beings who think that either God's mind is as limited as ours or we are so intellectual that somehow we will be able to decipher how he does things..Faith means that is enough to sit back and watch the beauty unfold.

Thank you for your thoughts Luca
From experience over the years I have come to believe that to some part positive/negative thinking is nature rather than nurture. In my work and with some friends, I see a negative approach to life that it would appear cannot helped by a third party.
I agree with you that we will be much happier the whol of our life through if we can have a positive attitude. It does therefore behove all parents to set a positive example to their children and nurture the 'half full glass' principle to their children.
Look forward to reading more good articles.

Space exploration really is daunting when you consider all the obstacles. Taking care of our cradle earth is so very important right now!
