A time to celebrate

Hello.

This week my wife and I have been on holiday in Croatia, and, wherever we’ve gone, TV screens have been blaring out the World Cup matches. There’s been no escape from it, hard as we might try.

On Wednesday night there were huge celebrations when Croatia won against Iceland. Fireworks, cheering, singing, dancing, as if nothing else in the world mattered. It made me think of a passage I once read in the Christian Bible. It explains that when one sinner repents, the whole of heaven leads the applause. All the angels make a song and dance about it. It’s as if they’re watching the game of our lives, and they celebrate our win.

Repenting means turning to Jesus and following him.

Why not cause rejoicing in heaven by turning to him?

Let the celebrations begin.

Best regards,

James
