Are We Close to Detecting Alien Life?

With the near completion of Nasa’s James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), the answer may be, ‘yes’!

This $10 billion successor of the famous Hubble Space Telescope has a much more sensitive camera which will give it an extraordinary ability – to peer at planets and detect any signs of life. Orbiting the sun at 1.5 million km from the earth, it will certainly have a good crack at finding any alien life.

But what if it did find life? Last year, one presenter of a scientific programme, when commenting on the finding of the seven planet-like TRAPPIST-1 system, said that finding life “would change everything.” And I don’t’ think he’s wrong.

In fact, one ancient prediction appears to agree with him. This prediction said that a different life form would come to this earth and, quite literally, change everything! But the good news is that the change will be for the good! So what is this prediction talking about?

Well, we won’t need the JWST to see it because the prediction tells us that it is coming to us! We will all see it. It? What exactly is coming?

The prediction is found in the holy book of the Bible. The different life form is the person of Jesus Christ – the Son of God. The prophecy written is about his return to this earth! But why will he come again?

Strange, though, it may sound, we are told he is going to help us out with one of our most enduring problems: how we govern this earth. The good news is that he – Jesus – will assume leadership of all nations and bring world peace. The prediction goes like this, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”[1]

Why will his leadership of this earth be a good thing? Just have a read of the kind of person he is and the decisions he made in the books of the Bible that are referred to as the gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Is it not worth getting to know our future ruler now?

I think you will see, truly, he will rule with equity, love, and justice.
